10) The Michael Myers mask in the new film closely resembles the one in the 2007 Rob Zombie remake.

9) Three of the younger kids trick or treating are wearing the Silver Shamrock masks from Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

8) Allyson is seen sitting in the same classroom desk as her grandma, Laurie.

7) There’s also a very familiar shot in the same scene when Allyson looks out the window, just like Laurie did.

6) In Halloween 2018, Laurie checks the closets, similar to what she did in the 1978 film.

5) There was torment in the bathroom, just like in Halloween: H2O.

4) In Halloween (1978), Michael falls out of the window, and when Laurie goes to look for him, he’s gone. In Halloween (2018), Laurie falls out the window, and when Michael goes to look, she’s gone.

3) Going out Just Like Bob… In the first Halloween, Bob is killed by Michael and left hanging in the wall. Unfortunately for Dave, he also has the same fate in the new film.

2) A dollhouse appears by Laurie’s bed in the new Halloween. If you look close enough, you’ll see it’s a model of the original Myers house.

1) The opening credits of Halloween (2018) are the same as the first film, but they filmed a pumpkin rotting and played it backwards as if it’s coming back to life, just like Michael.

*BONUS EASTER EGG*

If  you zoom in on the pumpkin at the start of the first film, it looks like Michael Myers holding a knife.

We hope you enjoyed these fun little shoutouts that were oh so very carefully added to the new Halloween. Did you notice any of these Easter Eggs when watching the movie yourself? Did we miss anything that you caught? Let us know in the comments below!

About Jazmine Hiller

Just a Canadian girl who loves horror movies and old music. I grew up watching horror with older siblings, and cousins but I really fell in love when I watched Wes Craven's A Nightmare On Elm Street, and I've been in love ever since.

  1. PJ Soles has a cameo in the film. Its a speaking part, she’s the voice of the teacher lecturing Allyson.
