Into The Woods: The Best Horror Films To Watch Before You Go Camping

The Blair Witch Project (1999)/Blair Witch (2016) – Double Feature

Imagine going camping in the middle of nowhere, only to find yourself unable to leave because the forces of the forest are all working against you.

The Blair Witch Project is one of the best camping horror films because it was able to scare audiences by showing as little as possible and really use the forest setting to its advantage. It makes you terrified of the place itself more than what you couldn’t see. Its most recent sequel, Blair Witch, continues the story beautifully while adding new elements of the forest to really keep fans from going into the woods anytime soon.

So, you can choose between these options to really get into the spirit of camping, or you can watch all of them for the ultimate camping movie night! What’s your favorite horror film to get you in the mood for camping? Will you be watching Killing Ground when it’s released? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! About Karli Lawson

I basically grew up watching horror films and spooky things. I watched my first horror film when I was 4 years old. I've wanted to be a writer ever since I've read Stephen King books in middle school. I love writing and talking about my favorite genre. I hope to one day be successful in screenwriting and filmmaking. Everything horror, of course!
