4. Full Moon – An American Werewolf in London (1981)

Poor David Kessler (David Naughton) was attacked by a werewolf. His buddy, Jack (Griffin Dunne), not only died in the attack but was rendered an undead “walking meatloaf” who warns David that he’ll turn into a lycanthrope himself with the next full moon. As the weeks go by and the moon gets fuller, David can feel the gravity of its lunar pull. When it finally happens, it is quite a transformation indeed, with great special effects and a soundtrack with songs about the moon. Scary, funny, clever, naughty and even romantic, An American Werewolf in London has all sorts of wonderful features. And who wouldn’t frequent a pub called the “Slaughtered Lamb?” Aroo, indeed.
