John Carpenter Immortalized With Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

John Carpenter, the horror master (our tribute), has been immortalized at last on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Carpenter’s star was unveiled in the midst of a “who’s who” of Carpenter co-stars and collaborators along with a legion of fans. Guests included Greg Nicotero, Dean Cundey, Keith David, and Kurt Russell.

Carpenter, of course, is the man behind such films as Halloween, The Thing, Escape From New York, Big Trouble In Little China, They Live, and countless other cult horror and sci fi classics. The iconic filmmaker often serves, not only as director, but also producer, writer, and composer. When it comes to horror, John’s done it all.

For a recap of the event, including tributes from the aforementioned Greg Nicotero, Keith David, and Kurt Russell, check out the video below!

Congratulations, John, on this well-deserved honor, from all of us at PopHorror. You are truly one of the all-time horror greats, and this star and recognition is long overdue.

Now, if we could just get Netflix to give you one last picture deal with a solid budget and 100% creative freedom… Dare to dream!
