Horror Coming To and Leaving Netflix For October 2019

It’s about that time when we say goodbye to some of the horror movies and TV shows on Netflix, but also get to celebrate the ones coming out in the following month. Below is a list of everything coming and leaving Netflix in October 2019.

Arriving October 1st

Bring It On, Ghost: Season 1 (2016)

Synopsis:

Kim Hyun Ji had studied for most her life before she died at the age of 19. She is now a ghost and has wandered around the world for several years. Hyun Ji then meets exorcist Park Bong Pal. Hyun Ji and Bong Pal listens to various stories from ghosts and sends them to the other world. After that, Bong Pal finds himself falling in love with Hyun Ji, and she also likes him.

House of the Witch (2017)

Directed by Alex Merkin.

Synopsis:

A group of high-school kids set out to play a Halloween prank at an abandoned house, but once they enter they become victims of a demonic witch who has set her wrath upon them.

Scream 2 (1996)

Directed by Wes Craven.

Synopsis:

Two years after the first series of murders, as Sydney acclimates to college life, someone donning the Ghostface costume begins a new string of killings.

Sin City (2005)

Directed by Frank Miller, Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino.

Synopsis:

A film that explores the dark and miserable town, Basin City, and tells the story of three different people, all caught up in violent corruption.

The Island (2005)

Directed by Michael Bay.

Synopsis:

A man living in a futuristic sterile colony begins to question his circumscribed existence when his friend is chosen to go to the Island, the last uncontaminated place on earth.

Men in Black II (2002)

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

Synopsis:

Agent J is sent to find Agent K and restore his memory after the re-appearance of a case from K’s past.

A.M.I. (2019)

Directed by Rusty Nixon.

Synopsis:

A seventeen-year-old girl forms a co-dependent relationship with an artificial intelligence on her phone and goes on a murderous rampage.

Sinister Circle (2016)

Directed by Dorian Fernández-Moris.

Synopsis:

A skeptical psychologist returns to the stage where a collective tragedy took place involving her mother and a Ouija board. She and her son, Julio, will be involved in strange events with an ancient Ouija board and a band of sinister individuals who are determined to do anything to preserve the precious treasure, one of the most powerful evil forces.

Tunnel: Season 1 (2017)

Synopsis:

In 1986, Detective Park Gwang-Ho desperately tries to catch a serial killer. He chases after the serial killer and goes through a tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel, Detective Park Gwang-Ho finds himself in the year 2017. The serial killer has resumed the killings that began 30 years ago. Detective Park Gwang-Ho works with Detective Kim Sun-Jae and Professor of Criminal Psychology Shin Jae-Yi to catch the killer.

Signal: Season 1 (2016)

Synopsis:

Communicating via a walkie-talkie that transcends time, a profiler from 2015 and a detective from 1989 join forces to tackle crimes and injustice.

Creeped Out: Season 2 (2019)

Synopsis:

Creeped Out is a series of spellbinding, enchanting and intriguing tales. Each episode is a different story set in a different place and time, with different characters exploring their way through the unexplained.

In the Tall Grass (2019)

Directed by Vincenzo Natali.

Synopsis:

After hearing a young boy’s cry for help, a sister and brother venture into a vast field of tall grass in Kansas but soon discover there may be no way out… and that something evil lurks within.

Super Monsters: Season 3 (2019)

Synopsis:

Preschool kids whose parents are the world’s most famous monsters try to master their special powers while preparing for kindergarten.

Super Monsters: Vida’s First Halloween (2019)

Synopsis:

The Super Monsters share their Halloween traditions with Vida, then get invited to a Día de los Muertos party in the Howlers’ backyard.

Raising Dion: Season 1 – Netflix Original (2019)

Synopsis:

A widowed single mom discovers that her son has superpowers and tries to figure out how to raise him safely and responsibly.

Arriving October 8th

The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-a-ween (2019)

Synopsis:

When Melvin tries to cancel Halloween, clever best friends Harold and George create their own spooky holiday — and it’s a huge success.

Arriving October 11th

Fractured (2019)

Directed by Brad Anderson.

Synopsis:

Driving cross-country, Ray, his wife and daughter stop at a highway rest area where his daughter falls and breaks her arm. After a frantic rush to the hospital and a clash with the check-in nurse, Ray is finally able to get her to a doctor. While the wife and daughter go downstairs for an MRI, Ray, exhausted, passes out in a chair in the lobby. Upon waking up, they have no record or knowledge of Ray’s family ever being checked in.

Haunted: Season 2 (2019)

Synopsis:

Chilling glimpse into the first-person accounts from people who have witnessed horrifying, peculiar, extraordinary supernatural events and other unexplained phenomenons that continue to haunt them.

Arriving October 15th

Dark Crimes (2016)

Directed by Alexandros Avranas.

Synopsis:

A murder investigation of a slain businessman turns to clues found in an author’s book about an eerily similar crime. Based on the 2008 article, “True Crimes – A Postmodern Murder Mystery,” by David Grann.

Arriving October 16th

Sinister 2 (2015)

Directed by Ciarán Foy.

Synopsis:

A young mother and her twin sons move into a rural house that’s marked for death.

Arriving October 18th

Eli (2019)

Directed by Ciarán Foy.

Synopsis:

A boy receiving treatment for his auto-immune disorder discovers that the house he’s living isn’t as safe as he thought.

Arriving October 19th

Men in Black (1997)

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

Synopsis:

A police officer joins a secret organization that polices and monitors extraterrestrial interactions on Earth.

Arriving October 24th

Daybreak (2019)

Synopsis:

High school outcast Josh is searching for his missing girlfriend in post-apocalyptic Glendale. He’s joined by a group of misfits, Angelica, and his former bully, Wesley. On the way, they’ll face many weird things.

Revenge of the Pontianak (2019)

Directed by Glen Goei and Gavin Yap.

Synopsis:

1965, Malaysia. A small village helps Khalid and Siti prepare for their wedding day. Soon after, great darkness falls upon the village as a string of horrific deaths and supernatural happenings create widespread fear and paranoia amongst the villagers. The events force a confession from Khalid about the murder of a girl he made pregnant years before, now believed to have returned as a Pontianak. To kill this vengeful vampire, he rallies all the men of the village and sets out into the jungle to hunt her down. But can the village stop her?

Arriving October 25th

Rattlesnake (2019)

Directed by Zak Hilditch.

Synopsis:

When a single mother accepts the help of a mysterious woman after her daughter is bitten by a rattlesnake, she finds herself making an unthinkable deal to repay her debt.

Assimilate (2019)

Directed by John Murlowski.

Synopsis:

Three friends making a web series about their town discover that their neighbors are being killed and replaced by creatures who are perfect copies of their victims.
