I’ll admit I am not into the whole Disney characters in Horror thing. It seems like a cash grab on something I grew up on. I was let down. Nothing interesting popped up. Until the vengeful spirit comes. Minnie’s Midnight Massacre.
Let’s get into the review.
Synopsis
After being constantly picked on, one day they locked her in a basement. Minnie returns from the dead, hell bent on targeting the people who left her for dead.
The way the film’s set up is kind of a lie. Basic, friends, and the same old story; however, there is time to call the film what it really is. However, you can’t really explain the way gore hounds will love the movie just because of the onscreen ness. Minnie raises hell throughout the entire movie.
To me, this film was almost a masterpiece of films that brings you a good feeling. When Minnie finds her target, deterring won’t help as she silently stalks you. The issue I have is it’s a little dark, which I love, it made the movement slightly more menacing. You know something is supposed to happen but you’re not sure when. Minnie was a bit fueled by rage, and no one is making it home. I love bad movies, and this is REALLY bad, but it’s a shou tout to everyone who shares the same love; we salute you.
I liked this film because it gave me a bit of blood and no guts. Only one scene made me cringe. Other than that, this film is absolutely bonkers, in a good way. Minnie’s Midnight Massacre was focused on the issue I had in school, and taking revenge on the people who let her die scared and alone. Thinking about that in a real situation makes me uncomfortable, and it’s supposed to do that. Campy horrors don’t need a reason to exist; You can laugh and be terrified at the same time with the way Minnie gives masked killers a new name.

In The End
Though we have seen the same storyline a bit too much, in the Disney slasher generation, it can be a mighty laugh, great kills, and moments that lead you into a whole mood. Minnie’s Midnight Massacre broke into my head more than I thought. The film is a fair warning that sometimes, you really should leave others alone. You should have learned from The Toxic Avenger. If you bully someone, they will see you as a threat, but when you are a serial killer who has seen the other side, and your work wasn’t finished, all hell should break loose.
I think this movie may become a part of my array of background noise. Again, that’s not a bad thing; you can catch this film on Tubi, which holds the current record for most horror films.
