5 Reasons Why ‘Halloween’ Is My Favorite Film Of All Time

4.) The Score

By far, one of the most beautiful aspects of Halloween is its amazing score, which was composed by the film’s director, John Carpenter. The score itself delivered a chilling and suspenseful experience for audiences, driving the intense, mysteriously intriguing emotions of the film whenever the specific notes of “Laurie’s Theme,” “The Shape Stalks” or even the iconic main theme would flow. The score offered a blend of mystery and intensity that kept audiences on the edge of their seats whenever a stinger would occur, or help build tension when characters would sense some unknown, impending danger. To this day, I still get chills from hearing it, as the music always manages to generate thrills at just the right moment.
