How long have you been writing?
I’m not a natural writer. I never went to school for it and it’s something that I struggle with even now. Sometimes it can take me a whole day to write a review. I’ve been writing consistently since the start of my site, which was about 2 years ago, and throughout that duration, it’s been really amazing to see how much my writing has transformed.
In total, not including my site, NightmarishConjurings.com, I’ve written for 6 horror/entertainment sites. As of right now, I’m currently a freelance writer for Blumhouse.com, BirthMoviesDeath.com, and iHorror.com.
What made you want to create your own site?
I always love this question because my answer is so ridiculous. It all started because of Stephen King’s novel, IT. I was so angry with the ending of that book and I wouldn’t stop talking about it. My friends suggested that I write a blog about it. I decided to make one, not thinking anything would come from it, and it’s there that I shared my thoughts and feelings about movies and books. I really hope Stephen King never finds out that I didn’t like his book (laughs). I am a fan of his, but man, the last 1/4 of that book really fucking pissed me off.
What’s your favorite horror movie?
I have a holy trinity. If someone put a gun to my head and said I HAD to pick one it would The Exorcist, hands down. I love horror films that have religious undertones. But my holy, or unholy, trinity would be The Exorcist, The Thing, and Trick R Treat.
