Top 7 Women Bloggers and Site Owners in Horror

When did you start writing and what sites did you write for?

I started writing when I was a kid. Creepy short stories, mostly inspired by The Twilight Zone. My parents told me I was morbid and that didn’t bother me at all. As far as writing online, I started writing for Examiner.com. They gave me my first forum and I wrote about a number of subjects until I settled on my first love – horror!

What sites do you write for now?

When Examiner went out of business, I had the honor of writing for MorbidlyBeautiful.com and The Blood-Shed.com. I also write a monthly column for Gruemonkey.com called From the Brains of Los Angeles Zombie Girl. I have my own SFX company called Scattered Brains, do any movies I can, paint my own custom zombarbies and have had the pleasure of doing monster makeup for Knotts Scary Farm for the last 4 years.

What is your favorite horror movie?

You would think my favorites were only zombie movies because of my name. I admit Night of the Living Dead is a favorite. But my all time favorite horror flicks that I have to own forever are: American Werewolf in London, the original Halloween, The Shining, and Zombieland!

Anything coming up in the future?

My hubby and I are hopefully moving soon to an amazing property in Salem, Oregon to open a horror themed Bed and Breakfast! I hope everyone can come and visit us when we get it up and running.

About Tori Danielle

Tori has had a passion for Horror and music ever since she was a little girl. She got bit by the writing bug in high school where she was involved in both the school newspaper and the yearbook. While getting her Bachelors degree, she took Journalism and Creative Writing classes where her passion grew even stronger. Now, in between work and family, she spends all of her spare time indulging in music, Horror movies, and nerdy fandoms, all while running/assisting one of the biggest Horror groups on Facebook and writing for various websites.
