For many of us, we grew up watching ’80s horror movies and that is where our passion began for this lovely genre. So you can imagine how happy we were when, just the other day, we had the privilege of being introduced to director Kevin Tenney, who is known for his classic ’80s films Witchboard, Night of the Demons, and Witchtrap. He sat down with PopHorror to have a little fun with some Q & A. It sure was interesting…
PopHorror – Let’s get this started, Kevin! What’s your favorite film you’ve done thus far?
Kevin Tenney – My home movie. My family members all give it two thumbs up!
PopHorror – (Laughs) What character in a movie of yours has been your favorite?
Kevin Tenney – The character behind the camera, telling everyone else what to do.
PopHorror – Well, that person is typically the one behind all the magic… Speaking of magic, do you believe in witches?
Kevin Tenney – I’ve dated a few!
PopHorror – Oh, that explains a few of your movies. Best horror story you were ever told?
Kevin Tenney – “I now pronounce you man and wife.” Just kidding, Susan, my love…
PopHorror – Uh oh! Better watch out! Who is your favorite actress out of all the ones you’ve worked with?
Kevin Tenney – Are you trying to get my eyes clawed out?
PopHorror – (Laughs) I think you may have already started that process with your response to your favorite horror story. What’s your favorite Universal Monster?
Kevin Tenney – King Kong’s uncle. Think about it…
PopHorror – Oh, I get what you’re putting down! Favorite holiday based horror movie?
Kevin Tenney – Santa Claus Conquers the Martians; it was really horrifying. Or was it just really horrible? I can’t remember.
Well, that was intersting… Be sure to check out all of Kevin’s films including Witchtrap, which you can buy the awesome Blu-Ray/DVD combo with beautiful cover art at Dark Delicacies by clicking here!
