Horror movies are going to be horror movies and this movie is horror but that doesn’t mean it’s good and Andrea Catinella’s Piglet is not good by any stretch of the imagination.
Let’s dive in.
The film starts with a group of friends traveling to a secluded cabin, which seems to be commonplace for how young adult horror movies start out since Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise from all of those years ago. Afterwards, some guy in a Piglet costume (from Winnie the Pooh) assaults and kills the visitors one by one and that seems to be the extent of the story.
This film actually feels like a trailer for a much larger movie but instead it’s a huge slog that takes forever to get to the horror and when it finally gets there, it’s the most unsatisfying thing on the planet, as it has already been done before.
The actors are as shallow and vapid as a Michael Bay Transformers script and the dialogue is easily forgettable with stock characters like the dumb blonde, mean girl, innocent girl, the creepy cabin owner and the one-dimensional killer.

All in all, this film is everything wrong with filmmaking and storytelling. This is obviously not my cup of tea. Your mileage may vary.
Piglet is available now to rent and own on digital platforms and is streaming free on Roku Channel.
