Telling scary stories around a campfire is a time-honored universal human experience and the new app, SCREAM, brings that tradition to the modern age. The app creates a community for storytellers and their fans that is noticeably absent in the thriller and horror, true crime, and suspense serialized-fiction genre. SCREAM joins the Crazy Maple Studio (CMS) family of interactive, immersive storytelling and reading platforms: Chapters: Interactive Stories, Spotlight, and Kiss.
With more than 40M global downloads, 1200 authors, and translations into 13 languages, CMS believes everyone has a story to tell. Their fourth app since its founding in 2017, SCREAM is primed to expand its readership with “thrills and chills.” Just in time for Summer, it will launch with more than 200 paranormal, true crime, horror, and thriller titles written by more than 177 authors from around the world. Additionally, to celebrate this Summer when connectivity and outdoor activities seemingly start anew (thank goodness!), CMS is launching SCREAM with a “Campfire Stories” campaign.
Notable authors including Arizona Tape (“My Own Human”), Karina Halle (“Sins & Needles”), and Lexi Ryan (“Unbreak Me”) will share their own spooky campfire stories on SCREAM’s YouTube channel beginning June 15. CMS’ apps are all free to download but include in-app purchase opportunities, so be sure to check them out!
