George James Fraser (read our interview with him here) is back in the director’s chair for his latest film, Scaring Sheri. After delivering several shorts, including the wicked tale of a taunted ballerina with Balletomane (2019) and the seductive nature of Salt and Iron (2019 – read our review here), as well as founding one of the most audience interactive film festivals—the Happenstance Horror Fest in Massachusetts—Fraser returns with the first installment in the United States of Horror series, Scaring Sheri.
Couple Sheri (Sheri Lee) and Johnny (Johnny J. Gordon) drive to a New Hampshire haunted attraction in hopes of finding an exciting make-out session. In the humorous banter between the two, we find Johnny satisfied with staying outside as Sheri is determined to find a way in. Unbeknownst to Sheri and Johnny, though, they are not alone; a menacing masked man is quietly stalking the pair.
The impressive setting of Haunted Overload (a legit attraction in Lee, New Hampshire) and its elaborate array of Jack o’ Lanterns, props, and eerie hallways are used as the backdrop for Scaring Sheri. Fraser and crew successfully create an ominous atmosphere with stellar lighting and a score to die for in this eight minute slasher.
Eager to show horror fans the skills that he and his team have cultivated, Fraser is excited to screen Scaring Sheri at festivals later this year. You can keep up to date with this and all other Stained Glass and Blood Bath Productions, George James Fraser’s production company, here.
