7 Crazy Summer Camps in Horror Movies

Summer Camp for Youths

Madman (1982) is a slasher film directed by Joe Giannone. The story takes place in a summer camp for youths, in which the young campers are stalked and killed after summoning an axe-murder, thought to be only a local legend, by the name of “Madman Marz”. Originally the Madman character is supposed to be based on the Cropsey killer legend, but after discovering the horror film, The Burning (1981) was based on Cropsey as well, they rewrote the script. It’s one of the best summer camp movies on this list and if you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it!
