Based on the acclaimed graphic novel “Samurai Shiro” by Danilo Beyruth and set in the expansive Japanese community of Sao Paulo, Brazil — the largest Japanese diaspora in the world, YAKUZA PRINCESS is a rip-roaring, violent action-thriller from director and co-writer Vicente Amorim (MOTORRAD), who Variety hails as one of film’s brightest rising stars. Starring MASUMI and Rhys Meyers, the film’s cast also includes Tsuyoshi Ihara, Toshiji Takeshima, Eijiro Ozaki, and Charles Paraventi. The screenplay is written by Amorim, Fernando Toste, Kimi Lee, and Tubaldini Shelling. Shelling produces the film with Andre Skaf and Filmland International while XYZ Films executive produces.
