XYZ films has just purchased Mark Meir’s The Summoned. The film just premiered at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans, LA. The distributor is looking at North American release in July of 2022. The film was directed by Mark Meir (AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead) and the script was written by Yuri Baranovsky (Dan is Dead). The cast includes J. Quinton Johnson (Hamilton on Broadway, AMC’s The Son), Emma Fitzpatrick (The Social Network), Salvador Chacon (FX’s Mayans M.C.), Angela Gulner (Netflix’s Glow), and Freddy Douglas (Hallmark’s The Odyssey).
Synopsis:
Two high profile couples are forced to examine the cost of success when they’re invited to an exclusive self-help retreat where their ancestors sold their souls generations prior.
