The New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival is approaching quickly. They will return August 9-11, 2024, at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, New Jersey. The event is rapidly picking up steam from years past. The con has hosted many celebrities in past years, and they are pulling no punches again this time. With guests including Ken Foree and Bill Moseley, to name a few, and four different reunions in one weekend, it’s already setting out to be a great time. The New Jersey Horror Con happens several times yearly, including the Horror Sideshow Market, a one-day flea market with fantastic guests and plenty of vendors.
I have attended several of these events and even vended a few, and incredible people have always surrounded me. It’s a safe atmosphere that is run like clockwork. They have made some big and bold steps in the past few years.
The New Jersey Horror Con has added, and sadly ended, some events. However, it all worked out in the end, and they always put together a great event. There will be something for everyone, whether you are into guests, films, or vendors.
What To See
The events reunions are reason enough to attend. There will be four reunions, including Night of the Demons, Revenge of the Nerds, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: Dream Child, and Monster Squad. If you treasure any of these films, now’s your chance to attend a big moment!
On top of the other notable guests, there is also a Terrifier 2 crew featuring Steve “Uncle Creepy” Barton, producer Phil Falcone, and more. The event also harbors two of the most menacing characters on the East Coast, Father Evil and Lord Damien MacDonovan.
There is something for everyone on the guest list, including younger fans who are easing their way into the genre and always seem to love Father Evil, including my own kids. There is a different vibe at these events; we are a family that meets every few months, and that’s how everyone, including patrons, gets treated.
The New Jersey Horror Con will also include a red carpet event on Friday night from 10 PM until 11 PM, during which fans can mingle with celebrities, press, and other fans. This is relatively new for the con, and will be enjoyable, in my opinion. Things like this keep The New Jersey Horror Con at the top of their game. Every year, they have a new idea to implement. This makes the con so interesting; changes are constantly being made as they grow with each event. Another great feature is that this con is a bit simpler than most. It is excellent for people who want to get their feet wet but may be apprehensive about crowds.
Make time for this event as we near the opening day; you won’t regret a moment! Don’t sleep on the opportunity to experience this incredible event. There are several ways to purchase daily or weekend packages, VIP access, and more. Join us for a killer time on August 9-11, 2024, at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, New Jersey.
