The Many Horrors of ‘Santa Clarita Diet’s’ Drew Barrymore

Far From Home (1989)

A teenage girl and her father driving cross-country become stranded when their car runs out of gas in a remote Nevada desert town and they’re forced to stay in a dilapidated trailer park where a serial killer lurks.

Her role as Joleen in Far From Home was one of Drew’s first roles as a teenager after years of playing a child on screen. She perfectly portrayed the young girl on the very edge of sexual awakening who’s first choice as a boyfriend turns out to be a very dangerous one indeed.
