BUFF 2018: ‘Let The Corpses Tan’ (2017) Capsule Review

Wonderfully offbeat and original, visually sublime and savage in style and delivery, Let The Corpses Tan is a refreshing and creative take on the crime/thriller fueled by an enigmatic and powerful presence of storytelling.

The screen lights up with an engrossing display of vivid colors,  suspenseful ultra-violent bravura and classic ’70s spaghetti western/euro crime aura. This is a Belgium/France production from directors Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani, delivering epic film noir mixed with gangster panache, resulting in an eye for stunning violence and visceral savagery. A celluloid palate of bloodshed, bold artistry and perversion.
