‘Final Days: Tales From The End Times’ (2025) – Movie Review

As some of you may know, I’m a huge fan of anthologies, especially when all the stories tie together to make a cohesive whole, either through the story or the themes. One of the latest anthology to accomplish this is Final Days: Tales from the End Times.

Read on for my thoughts.

Final Days: Tales from the End Times was written by Ben Harl (Afterlife), Josh Bruckner (Untitled Footage), Michael Gregory, Dillon Brown (The Summer We Died), Ash Hamilton (Holes In The Sky:The Sean Miller Story) John Elder and Stephen Taylor. The film was directed by Ben Harl, Josh Bruckner, Michael Gregory, Dillion Brown and Ash Hamilton. The film stars Robert LaSardo (Arena Wars) Kayla Kelly (Never Stop Talking), Abigail Knight (Urban Nightmare: A Found Footage Anthology), Seth Boyer (Final Summer), Olivia Pearl Hansen (The Flock), Dylan Heck (Brim), Carl Lesones, Hunter Nino (Night of the Howling), Michael Rock (Tahoe Joe), Rodney B. Snyder (Untitled Footage), and Chase Todd.

Final Days features 5 segments which I’m going to talk about individually.

The Apocalypse Smells Like Cookies: written and directed by Ben Harl. This is by far the most humorous of the segments. It follows two people who try to summon a demon to end the world. This segment is completely ridiculous, but in a fun way. I enjoyed the characters and how goofy they were. The ending to the segment was pretty hilarious.

Bug Out: written and directed by Josh Bruckner. This segment follows a doomsday prepper trying to meet up with his friend to find safety. This segment is where what’s really going on in the stories comes to light. I enjoyed the sense of isolation in this segment. It also had some pretty solid action and some unsettling moments.

Apocalypse Eve: written and directed by Michael Gregory. This segment follows a couple looking for supplies and safety. I don’t want to say much about the story because I don’t want to ruin it but I found this segment very moving and sad. The cast in this segment had great chemistry and really sold the emotions their characters are going through.

Gramma: written and directed by Dillion Brown. This segment follows a young woman at home with her sickly Grandma. This segment was really crazy and intense. It had some really creepy moments, was genuinely scary at times and has some really great makeup effects. This segment is probably my favorite of the bunch.

Contingency: written by Ash Hamilton, John Elder and Stephen Taylor. Directed by Ash Hamilton This segment is the finale for the whole movie. It takes the characters from the wraparound segment and has them confront what’s really going on. I had a lot of fun with this segment. It definitely brings the style, action, and gore.

I really loved how all the stories in Final Days: Tales from the End Times tied together. Every story serves its purpose and furthers the narrative, tying everything together beautifully in the end.

Final Thoughts

I absolutely loved Final Days: Tales from the End Times. It’s creepy, scary, funny and at times sad. I love how perfectly the stories tied together at the end, making one overarching cohesive story. Highly recommended.
