E3 2019 – George R. R. Martin’s ‘Elden Ring: Game of Souls’

There were rumors circulating about a video game written by legendary author George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones TV series, A Song of Ice and Fire) and developed by FromSoftware (Dark Souls, Bloodborne). Well, folks, the rumors are true! Their new game, Elden Ring, was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Check out the trailer below!

Little is known about Elden Ring at this time. All we know so far is that it looks to be a dark fantasy style RPG in the way of Dark Souls, and with creator Hidetaka Miyazaki (Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep 2018) behind it, we can expect this game will be brutally difficult, and at the same time, will look absolutely stunning. Also, with George R.R. Martin’s writing talents, we already know that the story will be engrossing and very dark.

I normally don’t have the patience to play a Souls-like game, but with these two incredible talents involved, I believe I will have to jump into this world and get my ass kicked! While there hasn’t been a release date announced yet, Elden Ring has been in development since 2017 and is planning on revealing the game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
