Film Synopsis:

Jose’s inability to accept the new reality of his life pushes him into a spiral of self-destruction.

My Thoughts:

First, I will say that Limbo is unnerving and disturbing. It is difficult to watch. That is not a bad thing at all, as this is the purpose of the film. I can see why it earned the awards it has. The sound effects are perfectly placed throughout. At first, the plot seemed to be convoluted, but it eventually cleared up. The strength is the strong performances given by the cast, along with little to no dialogue and strategic sound effects. The special effects are phenomenal. Now that I’ve had some time to think about it, I can honestly say that I understand Limbo. It is such a powerful film that packs a lot in that 15 minutes. I daresay that it will haunt your thoughts and stay with you long after the final credits roll. If you have a chance to see this one, be warned it is disturbing, but well worth the watch.
