‘Blood, Sweat, and Terrors’ 2018 Movie Review: A Blood-Soaked Anthology

I love anthologies, especially horror based ones. It’s always a great way to past the time and discover hidden gems you never knew of. Even if most of them are bad, there’s almost always at least one that steals the show. Blood, Sweat, and Terrors definitely took me by surprise with it’s creative and bloodtastic stories.

Official Synopsis for Blood, Sweat, and Terrors:

With the crunch of bone and the clack of an automatic weapon, Blood, Sweat, and Terrors,is here to punch your right in the face. Featuring 9 blood-soaked, ass-kicking tales of action and horror, from some of the best in the business, this is a non-stop thrill-ride. Curated from Rue Morgue & Unstable Ground’s Little Terrors Short Film festival

This exciting new film has a plethora of directors behind it to cover each blood soaked tale including Daniel Bernhardt, Alexandre Carriere, Beau Fowler, Will Gilbey, Adam Horton, Joe Horton, Adam Mason, Shelagh Rowan-Legg, Benjamin De Los Santos, and Olaf Svenson.

When I first received the screener for this, I wasn’t sure what I had gotten myself into. I didn’t think it would be my type of film but oh boy was I wrong. Every single segment delivers a brilliantly unique story along with compelling characters, horrific situations, and blood… so much blood!

I’m a little biased, but one of my favorite segments was called Flow by Shelagh Rowan-Legg. I’ve seen this short a handful of other times, but I didn’t know it was part of this anthology and it fit in beautifully. It’s such a rockstar of a film mixing horror, blood, and comedy in the most perfect way possible. I highly recommend checking out Blood, Sweat, and Terrors for this segment alone as it will surely put a smile on your face.

Final Thoughts on Blood, Sweat, and Terrors:

If you love stories with non stop-action, oodles of blood-splattered scenes, and uniquely brilliant stories that deserve to be seen, Blood, Sweat, and Terrors is for you and it’s the anthology you’ve been missing in your life. It is now available on VOD, Digital, and DVD! Watch it now and let us know which segment you enjoy best!
