BITS 2017: ‘Destruction Makes the World Burn Brighter’

Next up on our list for The Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival is the horror short Destruction Makes the World Burn Brighter. An interesting story that will make you cringe.

The film is directed by Kalen Artinian as well as co-written by herself and Alexandria Benoit. Benoit also stars in the film among Keeya King, Gabe Grey, and Ryan Rosery.

Official Synopsis:

A young couple in the not so distant future finds their secret existence threatened when reserve runs low.

This story is a unique one and makes you wonder how far you would go for the one you love. There are no limits of love and sacrifice for the characters in Destruction Makes the World Burn Brighter. I thought it was sweet, disturbing, and I wanted to know more.

The short has a runtime of just 6 minutes, but it left me intrigued and as I previously stated wanted more, especially backstory on the characters. This is definitely one I would love to see a feature film of.

Final Thoughts on Destruction Makes the World Burn Brighter:

This is definitely one of my favorites from the festival. There’s just something about the mystery of it all and the chemistry between the couple. Check it out when you can and maybe they’ll consider turning it into a full feature someday!
