It soon becomes clear that the first creature’s escape has dire consequences, as she hunts them down and stops at nothing to free her sister.
I’ll be honest, this film was hard for me to stomach. This film portrays bullying at its worst. It’s non-stop and never lets up. It’s not an easy watch and for some, it could easily trigger them. In the end, despite all the constant abuse and bullying that occurs, this fil delivers one of the most delicious acts of revenge ever. I never wanted revenge more. I was thirsty for it.
All of the performances were great, powerful. So much so that it made despite each character. Seriously. There was not one likable character at all. They were all assholes and if I’m being completely honest… I wanted them all to die. No redeeming qualities and they made my skin crawl.
This film has some great special effects and makeup. Oodles of blood and gore that will make your stomach cringe. It also had a killer soundtrack with some awesome covers such as Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”
Mon Mon Mon Monsters is a disturbing and horrifying supernatural film. Although some would consider it a horror-comedy, I definitely didn’t see much humor in it. I can’t say that a film has impacted me that much in a long time, but this one sunk its teeth into me. If you have a strong stomach, I highly recommend checking it out! RLJE Films will release Mon Mon Mon Monsters on DVD for $27.97 and on Blu-ray for $28.97 on February 4th!
