Synopsis
When a priceless Caravaggio vanishes overnight from a Valletta cathedral, its solitary caretaker, Orpheus, becomes both the case’s key witness and its prime suspect. As a young detective from Washington and local police close in — and a mysterious figure circles the investigation — the search for the missing masterpiece becomes a slow, devastating reckoning with the past Orpheus has spent his life trying to forget.
