Kate (Vera Farmiga) is another mother that has her flaws. But when she and her husband, John, adopt young Esther, Kate is the only one who suspects that the girl isn’t who she says she is. When accidents and deaths happen around the family, Kate fears for her children and tries to do what she can to convince everyone that Esther is responsible. Kate takes matters into her own hands and fights for herself and her children.
