We Say Goodbye to ‘Supernatural’ After 15 Years

It will be hard to write this through all of the ugly crying I am about to do. I love Supernatural so much. It has been one of my favorite shows for the last fourteen years of my life. We have watched the Winchesters go through literal Hell and back on more than one occasion, but the brothers and their rag tag group of friends and family have always been there. The show was recently renewed for season fifteen, but after that season is over, the series is over. Grab your tissues, ’cause it’s crying time.

You can almost hear the collective wail of the Supernatural fans right now. This is the end of an era, and it just doesn’t seem right. We all had the intention of watching the Winchesters and dear Castiel hobble around on canes, saving people and hunting things, all while trying to keep their dentures in. I have to speculate that this CAN’T end well. I have always thought that when the show ends, that it just won’t have a good ending, and I don’t know if I will be able to watch. I would love to see that Supernatural ends with a happy and healthy Sam and Dean living stable lives, and Cas in a house right down the street with an Etsy business making “Hey, Assbutt!” cross stitching. We can hope, can’t we?

So, sooner rather than later, we will have to say goodbye to our boys. My heart breaks, but everything good must come to an end. There is good news. however. There will always be reruns of the show and, as of right now, you can still get the Supernatural box by CultureFly. We unboxed one (we have three more coming soon!) and you can watch that HERE. If you pick up a box through our link, you get amazing official merch, and at the same time, you help out PopHorror, too. Let’s all wear black and mourn the end of an era. I know I will be.

About Dev Crowley

D.D. Crowley has been writing since she could scrawl misspelled words on paper to make a story. Thankfully her writing has improved. An avid horror, paranormal, sci-fi and video game lover, she gets to write about all her favorite nerdy fandoms. Some of her favorites are found footage movies, the original 'Halloween' and 'Resident Evil' (the games not the movies, don't ever ask her about the movies... you have been warned).
