Mill Creek Entertainment is bringing Ultraman Tiga, the complete series, to DVD for its 25th anniversary. Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman Gaia releases will follow later in 2021.

Minneapolis, MN – Mill Creek Entertainment is pleased to announce the North American DVD release of Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna, and Ultraman Gaia. This collection of 3 Ultraman series will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles, an exclusive collectible spine mural and episode guides. The first in the series, Ultraman Tiga, is set to arrive on October 5, 2021.This exciting debut comes off the back of Mill Creek Entertainment’s license of the available Ultraman back-catalogue via international distribution company Indigo Entertainment, from the revolutionary team at Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd.

The Ultraman Tiga series includes 52 episodes along with the special Ultraman Tiga Side Story: Revival of the Ancient Giant. Premiering in 1996, Ultraman Tiga was the first new Ultraman Japanese television series in fifteen years. Tiga was also the first transforming Ultraman, with three body types each with their own unique abilities. The story begins early in the 21st century as the Global Unlimited Task Squad (GUTS) deciphers an ancient prophecy regarding the return of two horrifying monsters the menaced the world thirty million years ago. As predicted, the two beasts reappear, demolishing everything in their path. As GUTS battle the monsters in the Land of Tiga, they discover a Pyramid of Light containing statues of three gigantic Ultra Warriors. Daigo, the GUTS Team’s most daring young fighter, becomes joined with one of the Ancient Ultra Warriors. The mighty Ultraman Tiga is reborn! Now when danger strikes, Daigo holds aloft the Sparklence and transforms into Ultraman Tiga!

The exciting debut of Ultraman Dyna has 51 episodes from season one plus two specials; Ultraman Tiga & Ultraman Dyna: Warriors of the Star of Light and Ultraman Dyna: Return of Hanejiro. Seven years after the events of Ultraman Tiga, humanity has embarked on the Neo Frontier project of building settlements throughout the solar system. When the Martian settlement is attacked without warning by an immense insect-like monster, a colossal Tiga-like humanoid appears to battle the beast. The new warrior is Ultraman Dyna, a being of light who was born after a light merged with Agent Asuka of the Super GUTS Team to wage war against the marauding aliens and monsters who threaten humankind. Dyna and Tiga would eventually join forces in the theatrical movie, Warriors of the Star of Light.

Included in the Ultraman Gaia series is 51 episodes and the special release; Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna & Ultraman Gaia: The Battle in Hyper Space and Ultraman Gaia: Gaia Once Again. The show offered a novel twist on the long-running Ultraman Series with a storyline focusing on the conflict between two Ultraman with differing philosophies about protecting mankind and the Earth. When a wormhole forms just outside the planet’s atmosphere and monstrous creatures descend upon the world’s cities, a global defense organization named GUARD is established to counter the attacks. Young Gamu Takayama discovers the power to transform himself into the gigantic superhero Ultraman Gaia, and joins X.I.G., GUARD’s front-line defense team. But then another youth, Hiroya Fujimiya, appears with the ability to become Ultraman Agul, another giant warrior with his own agenda. Is this new colossus friend or foe? Gaia would also encounter the heroes Tiga and Dyna in the feature film, The Battle in Hyper Space.
