SXSW Curtain Raiser: Brendan Muldowney’s Horror Thriller ‘The Cellar’

The new horror thriller, The Cellar, premieres this weekend at SXSW 2022. The film was written and directed by Brendan Muldowney (The Pilgrimage). The Cellar stars Elisha Cuthbert (The Girl Next Door, “24″), Eoin Macken (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, “La Brea”), Abby Fitz (“Der Irland-Krimi”), and Dylan Fitzmaurice-Brady (“Kin”).

Synopsis for The Cellar

Keira Woods’ (Elisha Cuthbert) daughter mysteriously vanishes in the cellar of their new house. She soon discovers there is an ancient and powerful entity controlling their home that she will have to face or risk losing her family’s souls forever.

Elisha Cuthbert is no stranger to horror and I’m happy to see her back in the game with her leading role in The Cellar. This is definitely a thrilling horror with phenomenal actors that will be sure to have you at the edge of your seat!
