Screamfest 2018: ‘So She Might Live’ Horror Short Review

We’re finally wrapping up our last review for the 2018 Screamfest Horror Film Festival. It was a great year, full of horrifyingly wonderful films and we are honored to have helped cover it.

The last one on our list is the haunting horror short, So She Might Live.

2018 screamfest

From Patrick Smith, comes a pulsating horror short starring Molly McCook, Monte Markham, Sibyl Gregory.

Official Synopsis for So She Might Live:

A young girl (Sibyl Gregory) tries to save her mother from a deadly illness.

So She Might Live was beautifully shot with vivid cinematography and costume design. I love period pieces and this one truly took me back and made me feel apart of history.

So She Might Live

The story is painfully cringe worthy as you watch the family go through the pain of slowly losing those they love.. To lose someone is never easy, especially for a young child. They don’t always understand the meaning of death or what the ultimate sacrifice could mean. Sibyl Gregory delivers a heartfelt performances that’s wondrous and courageous.

One scene, had me holding my breath and hoping for a different ending, I won’t say if it turned out the way I had hoped, but it was a short that definitely a story that left an impression in only a short period of time. I definitely recommend checking So She Might Live when you can’t chance!
