This exciting new horror mystery is directed by Dean Matthew Ronalds as well as co-written by himself and Tom Malloy. Tom also stars in the film along with Chris BannowGriffin Matthews, Theodora Miranne, Abbi Snee, and more.

Official Synopsis for #Screamers:

When an internet company decides to investigate a series of ‘Screamer’ videos, they are confronted with havoc and hell they could never expect.

#Screamer Still, people sitting at a table, board meeting

I will admit that when the film first began, I was not impressed, and I was dreading reviewing it. However, that quickly changed. Sometimes films just take a bit to warm up, and nothing could be truer about #Screamers. It delivered a uniquely entertaining story that’s terrifyingly realistic in this ever-growing world of technology.

As a site owner and writer for many sites, I understand the importance of getting clicks, likes, shares, and comments. If no one is clicking on your article, then what’s the point? Some people will go that extra mile, no matter what the cost, just to earn that click if it means they’ll make it big. The company in the film receives some disturbing content, but when they find out it may be real, they are hesitant… yet they still don’t want to give up their chances of money and fame. To prove it all wrong, they go on a trip to find out the truth and get far more than they ever bargained for.

#Screamer Still, man in mask

“The Screamer Creature” is something straight out of a nightmare. He gave me the creeps, and I wouldn’t have thought twice about messing around with him. It was all very mysterious and eerie. I didn’t see the twist at the end and was pleasantly surprised by it. It’s like its own urban legend in the making.

Final Thoughts on #Screamers:

As I mentioned previously, the beginning of the film starts off a bit slow, but the rest delivers enough thrills and suspense to cure your hungry horror appetite. With sites popping up every day, I feel like it’s a relatable story as well as a cautionary one. You never know who is lurking behind that instant message, video, or link. #Screamers will be On Demand everywhere April 17, so be sure to check it out!
