PopHorror Visits the New Jersey Horrorcon and Film Festival

This past weekend, I attended the New Jersey Horrorcon and Film Festival. The entire event was almost surreal, with many challenges. However, the event was absolutely fantastic, with the right actors, the right crowd, and vending legends. Everything mixed so well to make the event successful in the end.

Friday

The event faced many obstacles, such as severe storms and most of the actors leaving the red carpet event due to the weather. Friday, I just had a low-energy feeling from the rain. But we still pressed on, waiting out the weather. It could only go up from here, right? That is the attitude we all had toward it. The rain wouldn’t make us feel defeated. Positive attitudes carried on the entire night; we made it worth it, even with losing a lot of vendors for the night and minimal guests remaining.

Saturday

The sun shone on a new day, and by 9 AM, a hundred people were waiting to get in and enjoy the show. The vendors were out in full force. Unfortunately, Father Evil, a cosplay hero, was not able to make it Saturday. So I was a little bummed out; he is a cool dude. Ultimately, I couldn’t make the show on Sunday due to an illness. It was still one of my favorite events.

Here’s the PopHorror recap of the show!

I want to thank the New Jersey Horrorcon for the press opportunity. The show hosts several cons and horror flea markets throughout the year.
