More about On the Trail of UFOS: Dark Sky:

Cryptid documentarian Seth Breedlove and paranormal researcher Shannon LeGro continue their search for the truth behind the enigma of unidentified flying objects in the latest Small Town Monsters release. On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky. Dark Sky explores the UFO topic from the point of view of LeGro, a podcast host and author, and focuses more heavily on eyewitness accounts than typical alien fare.
On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky is a follow-up to 2020’s On the Trail of UFOs: Season 1, an episodic series created by Breedlove and LeGro and distributed by 1091. On the Trail of UFOs explored the long history of the topic and became one of the most-viewed independent UFO documentary series in history, racking up nearly 10 million views on Amazon, alone. Dark Sky goes beyond the history of the subject, exploring modern-day accounts, with additional filming taking place as recently as early May.

Seth Breedlove on the film:

This project excited us because we were able to look into reports from real people in real places that still connect what they’re seeing to what is being talked about in the mainstream media today. Particularly, this idea of why these objects or lights in the sky might actually be here on earth and how they might be closer connected to us than we think.

My Thoughts:

Let’s just say Small Monsters has done it again. I enjoyed On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky. This film is a stand alone and you don’t need to see the series.

Seth Breedlove, Shannon LeGro and crew focuses on West Virginia in this film as well which we know is the where the strange appearances of The Mothman were sighted. They also delve into Flatwoods Monster, the Indrid Cold Sighting by Woodrow Derenberger and, of course, UFOs. It seems that West Virginia is a hot spot for UFOs and paranormal activity.

This film has so much packed into it, but doesn’t feel overdone. It is well done, a solid documentary that doesn’t preach and isn’t trying to convince you that the paranormal and UFOs exist. The film is told through interviews of eyewitness accounts which are done respectfully and in a way that leaves you to make up your own mind.

Another cool thing about this documentary is Seth Breedlove’s and Shannon LeGro’s investigative approach, which brings fresh ideas to the topics making it even more fascinating and watch worthy.

My Final Thoughts:

This film delivers the goods. It is a thought provoking and engrossing documentary, well researched including real life encounters that allow you to make up your own mind about the topics. If you enjoy the paranormal, cryptids and/or UFOs, then this documentary is for you.

On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky is currently available on digital platforms.
