Alister Grierson’s ‘Bloody Hell’ – Nightstream Film Festival 2020 Movie Review

The North American Premiere of the pitch-black horror-comedy Bloody Hell happened tonight, October 9, 2020, at the Nightstream Film Festival. What a crazy experience this film was!

Bloody Hell

This film was directed by Alister Grierson with a screenplay by Robert Benjamin. The cast stars Ben O’Toole, Caroline Craig, Matthew Sunderland, Travis Jeffery, Jack Finsterer, Meg Fraser, and Ashlee Lollback.

Synopsis for Bloody Hell

A man with a mysterious past flees the country to escape his own personal hell – only to arrive somewhere much, much worse.

Bloody Hell

This film was insane. It was all over the place but in the best way possible and I never knew what was going to happen next. I’ve never seen a story quite like this and it was crazy fun with memorable performances, awesome kills, and wicked surprises.

Ben O’Toole was the shining star in Bloody Hell. He gave one hell of a performance and really helped drive the charisma, comedy, and uniqueness of the story. I also really enjoyed Meg Fraser’s character. She and Ben made a great team and had great on-screen chemistry.

Bloody Hell

As one would hope with a title like this, there was a decent amount of bleed-shed and gore in this film. The kills were freaking awesome and creative. There’s a scene towards the end of the film that doesn’t hold back with the insanity and I loved every minute of it.

Final Thoughts

Bloody Hell was such a great film with just the right amount of comedy and horror. I highly recommend checking it out and thank you to Nighstream for premiering it!
