Night of Something Strange (2016) Movie Review

The thought of a zombie apocalypse can be pretty scary. I’m not going to lie, the idea of being eaten alive is terrifying. Now imagine that the zombies don’t want to eat you… they want to rape you. That’s just fucked up. This is just a small fraction of the screwed up shit you will see if you watch Night of Something Strange.

Night of Something Strange is the newest film from writer/director Jonathan Straiton. The film was co-written by Straiton, Ron Bonk (She Kills) and Mean Gene. The film stars Trey Harrison (She Kills), Rebecca C. Kasek (Savage Christmas), Wayne W. Johnson (Tales of Dracula), Michael Merchant (She Kills) Tori Ann Gambale, Nicola Fiore (Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 2), and a small cameo from Brinke Stevens (Teenage Exorcist).

Night of something Strange starts off with Cornelius the janitor deciding to have sex with a corpse from the morgue. Perhaps he should have read the toe tag first – the corpse’s cause of death is listed as radiation/STD. This leads to Cornelius lying in his bed in excruciating pain, on the verge of becoming a sex crazed zombie. The next thing you know, he’s pissing on a woman and raping her before pulling out her insides through her vag and eating them. So begins the rapey zombie apocalypse. Add in a group of teens stopping in a nearby hotel on the way to a beach trip and all help breaks loose.

Night of Something Strange is the bastard love child of the most fucked up sex comedy you have ever seen and the most disgusting zombie film you could imagine, with second cousins Rape and Tentacle Porn arriving just in time for this family reunion. Their genitals have mutated into all manners of fucked up shit, like penises with the mouths of Xenomorphs to vaginas that look like a mix between the creatures of H.P Lovecraft’s nightmares and Audrey II. By the way, they can only be killed by destroying their privates. This shit is just bizarre. I honestly couldn’t stop laughing. The cast in this movie plays their parts fearlessly and they are all hilarious. I honestly don’t know how they got actors to agree to do this movie, but I’m glad they did.

Night of Something Strange is just nasty. You will see almost every bodily fluid you could imagine: shit, piss, puke, blood and semen. It’s got people being broken in half, stomachs being punched through, throats getting ripped out, face being melting off, people covered in semen, bloody tampons getting eaten, massive amounts of puking, someone shitting in another person’s face and even a tentacled vagina that tries to eat a man alive. This movie is so over the top! Just when you think it couldn’t possibly get any crazier, it does. This is truly a movie that must be seen to be believed.
