I don’t know about you, but Salem’s Lot is my favorite Stephen King novel (more on that here). Tobe Hooper’s mini series terrified me as a young child, and is a cornerstone in my lifelong love of horror. Other adaptations have come and gone over the years. The latest? A film originally intended for theatrical reelase, now relegated to the MAX streaming service (aka HBO, aka HBO MAX). Stephen King has seen it and according to various Tweets, he thinks it’s pretty darned good. That’s good enough for me!
When can you watch it? Read on for the details!

This looks like a lot of fun! I love that it’s still set in the 1970s. I think that adds so much. Color me cautiously optimistic!
You can catch Salem’s Lot on MAX starting October 3rd.
