Belgium filmmaker Rob Ceus has been plugging away at numerous projects and has collaborated with many others. Ceus has the shorts Bride Zombie and Slime under his belt and has acted in stuff such Alexander Sharglaznov’s Demon Mind, Death Cases and the upcoming Post Apocalyptic Desolation. Ceus is also finishing up his latest project, the full-length feature Zombies From Sector 9 which has an amazing trailer and looks like an absolute blast. For me, Zombies From Sector 9 is a project I am highly excited to watch. Ceus also has his hands on another project titled Roach but due to lack of funds has put it on the back burner.
Unfortunately with a lot of indie filmmaking endeavors the lack of money is a hindrance and can cause delays as I have seen in a number of cases. The lack of support and weariness from fans who have been burned or ripped off in the past by other non-trustworthy individuals doesn’t help. I personally vouch for Rob and say he is a passionate and dedicated guy who is involved in every aspect of his projects from directing to his professional grade looking make-up effects work. Ceus’s movies also have this fantastic quality to them despite budgetary restraints which make them look like bigger budget affairs. He has the ability to pull off miracles with very little.
Check out the campaign http://www.gofundme.com/necrofeaturefilm where you can watch the teaser trailer for his newest project Necro/House Of The Rotting Flesh.
If you love crazy splatter and serial killer gore fests then this one will satiate your appetite. Ceus is a one-man army who produces, directs, designs creatures, does casting and acts. His goal is 5000 Euro’s to get Necro finished. There will be a full trailer for Necro coming soon. The plot for Necro features Henry Lotter, an alcoholic divorcee father who goes on a killing spree due to demon possession. Ceus promises the fans nudity, gore, guts galore, demons, sex, violence, vomit, and necrophilia… Plus, let’s not forget the vomit! did I mention that already? Ceus also hopes to do some detailed creature work if the budget permits.
Some names attached to the project are Stephen Ortlepp who has composed music scores for Olaf Ittenbach, James Quinn and El Gore. Peter Vanbrabant will play Henry Lotter. The project will also feature Manoush (Barricade, La Petite Mort, Philosophy Of A Knife etc) and Andreas Rimkus (Color Man, Bears Eye, Julia, and Romeo).
