Coming To VOD And Digital: Tharun Mohan’s ‘The Darkness’ (2021)

We have all wanted to get away sometimes, to take a nice vacation in a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere. What could possibly go wrong? We answer that question in Tharun Mohan’s The Darkness. Lisa just wanted to get away to write her new novel, but she is in store for a lot more.


On a country retreat, to write her new novel, Lisa feels another presence in the house. She feels its spirit taking her over, sending her on a road to madness. Can she discover the truth behind the Spirit in the house or will she be lost forever?

The Darkness was written, directed, and produced by Tharun Mohan (Baby, Purgatory State of Mind). Amelia Eve (The Haunting of Bly Manor) stars in the lead role as Lisa. The cast also includes Cyril Blake (The Waiting Game, Z-List), Katherine Hartshorne (Happiest Day, Chaos In The Spectrum), Jo Hart (The Legend of Halloween Jack), and Adam Bond (Good Omens).

The Darkness has demons, ghosts, witchcraft, and changelings, and it looks to be action-packed. Amelia Eve will bring a duality to as the writer, Lisa, as well as dealing with some personal supernatural events. The haunting thriller, The Darkness, will be available on June 15th on VOD and digital.
