The Juice is Loose: A New Generation of ‘BEETLEJUICE’ – Past, Present and Future

The announcement of Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice has us all excited and in a frenzy. For years we have been bombarded with movie posters and movie previews about Beetlejuice 2 (read the 25th anniversary article celebrating the original film here. For a long time nothing was announced and nothing was confirmed and nothing was legitimized by Tim Burton or any of the cast members. So we all as hopeful fans came to the rapid conclusion: “It’s fake.”

In late 2023, pictures emerged online of Winona Ryder returning as our favorite, angsty, gothic, Lydia Deetz. I, like many people, was hesitant to believe what I saw, because lets face it…it didn’t really show all that much.

From the first small hopeful look, look what we have now!

After months of JUST that picture floating around we finally got some real confirmation from Tim Burton himself and as we all wished and hoped for, a cast list! Were we disappointed? I sure as heck wasn’t! I am excited to see what this movie will bring to the long line of old and new characters.

Although we have not yet seen an official poster for Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice there have been so many random fan made ones floating around online that I cant help but appreciate some of them. Especially the ones that I remember from years ago when this sequel was literally just rumors and wishful thinking from die hard fans.

Just recently we got a small preview trailer, and even with just a snippet I was hooked and couldn’t wait to see what the full trailer would bring to the table and what kind of new unique aspects Tim Burton would surprise us with this time around. With fresh faces to amuse us with their rendition of strange characters I couldn’t help but be excited. The cast includes many great names to grace the dead such as Danny Devito, Willem Dafoe, Monica Belluci, and of course Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter Astrid.

You can watch that teaser trailer here:

One small question does remain for me though? Where are Barbra and Adam? Have they crossed over? Do the dead cross over? Hopefully we’ll find out! I cant wait to watch it and see what this new generation of Beetlejuice has in store for us and what will the future bring for our favorite Bio Excorcist?

And now for your viewing pleasure I have the full, official trailer for you to see! Enjoy, and tell me what do you think of the new preview? Are you excited?

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice hits theaters September 6th, 2024. Watch for it!
