‘Agony’ Spinoff, ‘Succubus,’ Gets New Trailer

Madmind Studios, the developers behind horror game Agony, have released a new trailer for the game’s upcoming spin-off, Succubus. This new title follows the main character from the first game as they’ve become the succubus, Vydija. The trailer shows off a new enemy type for the game, the cherub.

While Madmind Studios is working on Succubus, they have released an update to Agony which will allow the player to encounter the cherub before Succubus is released. The new Big Bad is described as a demon that can wield fire, just like the iconic Onoskelis. The cherub will use pyrokinesis to attack the player from a distance. The whole idea of this enemy is that it will travel in packs and overwhelm the player, creating very tense situations.

Madmind Studios made sure to dive into the lore of the cherub, a demon born from sin after various species of demons started to interbreed with each other. The body of the demon is deformed and will often move against itself, giving the impression that the two demons joined together live according to their own rules. The survival of this creature typically depends on more powerful demons that live in correlation with them. The cherub is also typically the first demon to respond to the resounding scream from Onoskelis.

While we do not have a release date for Succubus yet, Madmind Studios made sure to let players know that they will be able to get their hands on the first gameplay later this year. While we wait, be sure to check out the brand new cherub trailer from Succubus and let us know what you think in the comments!

About Matt Stumpf

My name's Matt, and I love all things horror. Books, movies, video games; you name it, I like it. Martyrs is my favorite horror film, and everyone should watch it. I also have a soft-spot for those cheesy 80's slashers. I'm still slightly convinced that Faces of Death is real.
