A PERFECT DAY FOR CARIBOU (2022) Synopsis
The story follows an estranged father and son who spend the day ambling around a cemetery, wandering the wilderness, searching for family, and stumbling through disharmony and heartache. This heartfelt yet unconventional narrative is filmed in the nostalgic 4:3 aspect ratio and evocative black and white by cinematographer Alfonso Herrera Salcedo.
Jeff Rutherford wrote and directed the film. It stars Charlie Plummer (Lean on Pete, Looking for Alaska) and Jeb Berrier (First Cow, Shrill).

A PERFECT DAY FOR CARIBOU will premiere at Slamdance Film Festival 2023, which will take place in-person from January 20 – 26 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, and virtually from January 23 – 29.
