PopHorror Let's Get Scared
Exciting news! Angel Melanson has joined AMC Global Media as the Director of Programming for Shudder. In this role, Melanson will help drive Shudder’s content strategy and programming and working cross-functionally to deliver compelling experiences for the service’s passionate and engaged horror fan community. Based in Los Angeles, California, Melanson reports to Courtney Thomasma, the company’s Executive Vice President of Linear and Streaming Products.

Melanson arrives at Shudder as the service gears up for its annual “Season of Screams” programming event, the platform’s biggest celebration of the year, featuring four months of new films, series, specials and live watch parties for horror fans. This year’s lineup includes highly anticipated premieres such as V/H/S/Mixtape, Hallowarrior, The Cycle, Infirmary, and Parasomnia, along with a new season of The Creep Tapes, the 2026 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards, Joe Bob’s Halloween House Party, the return of Shudder’s fan-favorite Ghoul Log and the highly anticipated seventh season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula.
