Yucko: The 10 Worst Halloween Candies

These mutant Halloween rejects are by far the worst thing you got from a house with old people giving you a penny to save for your future. Now I have to admit, there are a lot of great candies that make the list, but still, those others existed, and some still do, and that is an automatic red flag to me. I’m not picky; I just use common sense.

Let’s get into this terrible list.

Peanut Butter Kisses

I can’t say that I have eaten the things; they went right into the trash as I sorted my candy. These candies are like the worst peanut butter you have ever tasted. I can explain how gross they really are; I avoid them at all costs, and I gladly yell it from the rooftops.

Mary Janes

Holy cow, these are worse than Peanut Butter Kisses. I can’t stand the smell, or the texture, or even the flavor; it was a horrible mix no one wanted. I prefer the people with king-sized candy bars; I always knew which houses had the best treats.

Bit O Honey

These are the grossest texture known to manplanet. It became soft and crumbly, and I hated finding them in my bag because someone handed them to me without my knowing it.

Necco Wafers

Terrible, Terrible idea to give kids these awful things. They are even worse than Smarties. I hope they faded from existence; are they? I don’t care enough to know.

Good & Plenty

Just when you thought black licorice couldn’tget any more gross, someone had the idea to candy coat it. The candy faded its innocent sibling, Good N’ Fruity, out of existence, which was by far the superior choice.

Peeps

I know in most places these are an Easter highlight, but I come from the city of peeps. Butassure you they just keep making them taste worse with limited-edition holiday flavors. I cant even think of them; I was never a marshmallow kind of guy. I guess that’s a fair assessment from my position.

Heath Bars

Holy cow, these tasted so gross. It may be a favored flavor for the elderly. My grandma had these in droves, and I hated them. Do people still eat these things?

Popcorn Balls

The very thought haunts my gag reflex. It was like stale popcorn rolled in liquid sugar. I don’t like kettle corn, and I DEFINITELY can’t stomach this atrocious treat.

Candy corn

I know this is a basic hatred for almost all of us. But I will stand up for one certain type of candy corn, and that is the Nerds flavor; the rest can kick rocks.

Apples

It may not be candy, but what the f***ck were people thinking? All razor-blade tall tales; I would be pissed off enough about the apple and throw it in the trash anyways. This night is a dentist’s nightmare, and it’s fun!

This list was brought to you by a disgruntled Xennial who misses plastic masks and pillowcases to hold the most treats we could on that one magical night that could only compare to Christmas.

About Craig Lucas

I hail from rural PA where there isn't much to do except fixate on something. Horror was, and still is my fixation. I have 35 years of horror experience under my belt, I love the horror community and it loves me.
