He’s Running For Your Lives: D.C.-based ‘Chucky’ Season 3 To Premiere October 4

He always comes back, and this time, he’s ready to “chuck” shit up in Washington, D.C.

On August 17, Chucky (Brad Dourif: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 1975) gathered the press in Hackensack, New Jersey for a highly-anticipated announcement: his television series Chucky is officially returning this fall.

“I’m here to announce to you dipshits that Season 3 of my show Chucky will return on October 4, and I will not rest until every single one of you fuckers watch it,” he says during the special report.

This time, it’s airing on SYFY, USA and Peacock: “I’m too big for only one platform.”

When asked by a reporter what the latest installment will be about, Chucky hints, “All I’ll say is, D.C. is gonna get ‘chucked’ up.” While he responded, “Who?,” when asked if Devon Sawa (Final Destination 2000) is taking on a fresh role, Chucky did confirm that Jennifer Tilly (Bound 1996) will certainly be back.

Though there was concern that the new season would be significantly delayed due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Don Mancini (our interview) and the gang have completed enough episodes to announce the season.

For anyone who needs a refresher on how Chucky Season 2 ended, here are a few key moments to remember:

– Devon Sawa’s third character on the show, Father Bryce, explodes into a million pieces while performing an exorcism on Chucky

– “Good” Chucky isn’t so good, and pushes newcomer Nadine (Bella Higginbotham, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers 2021) to her death

– There’s something sinister going on with Lexy Cross’ (Alyvia Alyn Lind, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors 2015) little sister Caroline (Carina Battrick, Stolen by Their Father 2022), who has been studying Voodoo for Dummies; her Belle doll (given to her by therapist Dr. Amanda Mixter [Rosemary Dunsmore, Orphan Black 2015]) becomes Chucky, and it’s unclear if he did this, or if she’s becoming an expert in the art of voodoo

– The souls of Glen and Glenda (Lachlan Watson, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina 2018) have merged back into the original Glen doll from Seed of Chucky; Tiffany gives them a makeover and they rebrand themselves as GG, ready for a European adventure

– The soul of Jennifer Tilly, which was trapped in the Tiffany doll and held hostage by the soul of Tiffany in Jennifer Tilly’s body, is now gone (or so we think)

– Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent, House Guest Massacre 2013 [our interview]) and Kyle (Christine Elise, Beverly Hills, 90210 1991) are safe and sound (for now), and walk off together in a touching moment that’s reminiscent of the final scene in Child’s Play 2

– Chucky saws Lexy’s mother Michelle Cross (Barbara Alyn Woods, One Tree Hill 2003) in half (and has an absolute blast doing it)

– Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif, The Blacklist 2018), who is reeling from accidentally shooting Glenda, makes a promise to murder Tiffany
