9 of the Creepiest Horror Film Scores!

Psycho (1960)

Music Composed by: Bernard Herrmann

Could you imagine Marion’s infamous death without those screeching violins complimenting the intensity of the scene? That’s almost what happened when Alfred Hitchcock originally wanted the shower sequence to be silent. However, Bernard Herrman scored it anyways, and Hitchcock immediately changed his mind when he heard it. We are so glad he did! Now, that music is the most Memorable thing about Psycho.

About Karli Lawson

I basically grew up watching horror films and spooky things. I watched my first horror film when I was 4 years old. I've wanted to be a writer ever since I've read Stephen King books in middle school. I love writing and talking about my favorite genre. I hope to one day be successful in screenwriting and filmmaking. Everything horror, of course!
