With Halloween right around the corner, now is the time to get your spook on and have those shivers transcend upon your spine. There is an extensive collection of horror movie titles out there that will make you hide under the covers and scream with fright. Some of these titles, however, can be quite misleading and not immediately lead you to think that these films are actually scary horror fests, so you might be missing out by just discarding the titles. 1. Veronica (2017)

Don’t let the name of this horror movie fool you. Veronica is a classic tale of an Ouija game gone bad. With a solar eclipse as the backdrop, Veronica is affected by the spirits that she summons. Everyone that enters the house is terrorized, and you will certainly be on the edge of your seat with this thriller.

 

2. Annabelle (2014)

Dolls are the subject of this terrifying horror movie as a vintage doll does a number on an unsuspecting couple. When cultists take over their home, they are subject to a number of paranormal experiences that seem to have no explanation. Or do they? Be prepared to be scared with this horror flick.

 

3. The Strangers (2008)

Are you home alone tonight? You can get your heart pumping with this thriller about a young couple who find that their secluded vacation home is not all they thought it would be as they are terrorized by three unknown assailants. Make sure your doors are locked when watching this horror movie.

 

4. Let The Right One In (2008)

Looking for a horror story with a love twist? Try Let the Right One. This movie features Oskar, a boy looking to get revenge against the kids who tease him through his unique love interest, a young girl named Eli. This horror drama will tug at your heartstrings while making you jump out of your skin.

5. The Cabin In The Woods (2012)

If you are planning a cabin getaway this fall, you may want to think twice about watching this movie alone. The Cabin In The Woods features a group of friends that finally learn the real secret of the cabin they are staying in. You’ll be scared and laughing all at the same time with this horror comedy.

 

6. It Comes At Night (2017)

Nighttime is when it all happens in this psycho thriller. A horrifying threat is running rampant in the world, and a husband and father must decide if it is safe to allow a new family in to their secluded refuge. Tuck in good when watching this horror flick.

 

7. We Are Still Here (2015)

A true horror at its best… In a house that only awakens every 30 years, We Are Still Here is set in New England (if that isn’t scary enough). The house is looking for a sacrifice, and no one knows who will be next. Sit back and prepared to be scared.

 

8. Don’t Breathe (2016)

You won’t be able to breathe during this horror thriller. Don’t Breathe follows a group of friends who are looking to steal a fortune from a helpless blind man. But he is not as helpless as they might think, leading to many scary moments in this movie.

 

9. 28 Days Later (2003)

Imagine a virus taking over the country. Where would you go? You’ll soon find out in 28 Days Later as the survivors seek sanctuary from the incurable disease that is affecting everyone it comes in contact with. You’ll feel the virus spread right through your body as you watch this terrifying movie.

 

10. Donnie Darko (2001)

Demons can be scary, especially when they are playing a series of scary pranks on an unsuspecting teenager. With visions of a man in a rabbit suit, the teen is manipulated to do the unthinkable as you watch in total suspense and wonder what will happen next.

11. Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

We take it back a notch with Rosemary’s Baby. If you haven’t seen this cult horror movie yet, then you really need to. Rosemary’s Baby is a tangled web of a story of a woman impregnated with a demon baby. The horror will shock and scare you out of your pants in this classic horror hit.

 

12. Crimson Peak (2015)

Here’s another horror movie that may move you to tears of fright in a house that doesn’t keep secrets. The building remembers and terrorizes a young writer torn between the love of a childhood friend and a lonely outsider. You’ll have to watch to see the type of ride this horror movie takes you on.

 

13. A Quiet Place (2018)

Do you like monsters? Then A Quiet Place is for you. This horror movie is filled with monsters that hear everything. The family living with them must move and survive in complete silence, or the monsters will overtake them. This is a thriller to watch in the dark unless, of course, you are too scared!
