She Loved Blossoms More is a stunningly strange trip into three brothers’ grief and the lengths to which they’ll go to alter their reality.
Let’s have a look at the trailer!
Synopsis
Three brothers build an unusual time machine in order to bring their long dead mother back to life. When their delusional father comes into the picture, the experiments go awry, and they descend into a psychedelic hellscape where the past and present fuse in a comedic yet disturbing exploration of grief.
Full of gausy, gorgeous imagery, a kaleidoscope palette, and themes that blend science fiction, body horror, and dark comedy.
She Loved Blossoms More was directed by Yannis Veslemes who had previously done Yula Lablanc as a composer. It was executive produced by Ant Timpson who did films such as Deathgasm and Come to Daddy, Christ Konstantakopoulos (The Lobster) & Andreas Zoupanos Kritikos (Knock At The Cabin). This also had some great cast including Sandra Abuelgham who was in When I Smile My Eyes Close and Rapsodoes. The film also features Alexia Kaltsiki who was in Interruption and Dominique Pinon who was in Amelie.

My Thoughts
If you like movies that have a sci-fi feel to them with a touch of horror this is the movie for you. The cast did a phenomenal job, and the storytelling was spot on. It also had a touch of journaling in there. I did like the English captions, but it got confusing and it was hard to understand sometimes as they are all talking in French or Greek. If you don’t mind the English subtitles this is a great film with a lot of drama, horror and bad decisions.

Final Thoughts
I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone under the age of 15-16 because of the nudity and the traumatic effects on your psyche, but if you like comedy, thriller, and horror packed into one then you will like She Loved Blossoms More.
She Loved Blossoms More has a runtime of 1 hour and 26 minutes and it is not rated. It is distributed by Dark Sky Films and is in theaters and on VOD as of October 3rd, 2025.
