Trailer Premiere For The Next Film In The Viral Horror Series ‘Smiling Woman 5’ Starring Felissa Rose

Today, July 14, 2021, at 7PM EST/10PM PST, the trailer for Smiling Woman 5 will premiere! This is the next film in the viral horror series Smiling Woman created by LA filmmaker Alex Magaña from a script co-written by himself and 13 Slays Till X-Mas’ (2020 – read our review here) Jed Brian. Once again, this short will be released by ACM Official. I’ve watched the first four entries into the Smiling Woman franchise, and let me tell you, they are creepy. Seeing these beautiful woman with their huge grins—an expression that we humans are engineered to see as happy and positive—turn predatory and sinister reminds me of one thing and one thing only… clowns. But they’re not colorful or cartoonish like those bumbling circus freaks. They’re the women you see on the street every day, but with a rictus grin and a special glint in their eye that tell you all is not well with gleeful ladies.

From the press release:

Smiling Woman follows the story of a creepy smiling woman who preys on women she finds alone at 1AM and possesses them. In part 4, Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) plays nurse Angela, who is working the graveyard shift in the ICU when she finds herself confronted by the evil smiling woman.

In part 5, Felissa Rose returns as the smiling woman and continues the reign of terror. She’s joined by co-stars Katy Ford (The Core: A Shudder Original Series) and Jessi Sampogna (Criminal Minds). The short is written and directed by Alex Magaña (Smiling Woman 1-5, Narco Valley) and co-written by Jed Brian (Unlisted Owner, 13 Slays Till X-Mas).

The Smiling Woman series was created by Los Angeles based filmmaker Alex Magaña. He has directed over 200 music videos and written and directed four feature films, 30 horror short films and three web-series.

Alex Magaña had this to say:

“The support for the Smiling Woman series has been incredible. Shout-out to the fans! The series would not be where it’s at without them. I cannot wait for everyone to see part 5. I think viewers are really going to enjoy it.”

You can see the trailer itself on or after 7PM EST/10PM PST at the ACM Official YouTube channel here.
