Top 10 Must-See Horror Movies of 2000

8). Pitch Black

Then we were introduced to Riddick, the mysterious anti-hero that we never knew we needed. Eventually spawning an action series, Pitch Black is where it all began. Passengers of a transport ship crash land on a planet with extremely deadly inhabitants. The creatures can only hunt in the dark corners of the planet, but soon an eclipse will cover the planet in darkness, giving the creatures free reign.

Pitch Black is an extremely suspenseful and exciting thrill-fest. It has its moments of gore plus twists and turns to boot. This could have been an extremely successful horror franchise and probably why I placed it at number 8. Instead of focusing on the horror aspect, the sequels would go on to follow Riddick as he went on different space adventures. Yawn. Bring back the horror to this series so I can bump it up.
